Meltwater, the global media intelligence firm that offers tools for online news and social media monitoring,  has launched a mobile phone application that provides a convenient way for clients to monitor and access real-time news and social media content as well as gather insights on the go. The native mobile app is available for both iPhone and Android. 

A unique feature is the ability to share content via text and email directly from the app. Users can tag articles, share content, and curate newsletters and newsfeed without needing to log in to the Meltwater platform. With mobile analytics, they can keep an eye on trending themes, sentiment and coverage volume with ease.

According to Zubair Timol, Area Director for India, Middle East & Africa at Meltwater, “With the region’s increasing smartphone and tablet penetration rates, which are among the highest in the world, the mobile app will be very useful to our clients to have quick and easy access to real time information at the touch of a button. This will help them to make informed decisions at anytime and anywhere.”

The native app design enables users to read articles, as well as share them via email or message without opening any other apps on their phone. Searches and results replicate the Meltwater platform, so customers will have the same capability and data in their pocket as on the desktop.
