Dubai’s favourite Mexican restaurant and bar Loca has added some new items to its popular menu. The new menu items revisit Executive Chef Juan’s Mexican roots and are prepared using traditional Mexican cooking methods. The Mexican bar and restaurant already boasts an extensive menu with authentic dishes such as slow roasted lamb flautas and citrus chipotle chicken quesadillas.

 

The new menu items build on the brands focus on traditional Mexican fare and are a celebration of Mexican cuisine. 

 

“The food we serve at Loca is authentically Mexican and I am proud to be introducing new items to the menu. The new dishes are a combination of traditional favourites and items that our loyal customers have requested to see on the menu. I’ve also introduced some more secret family recipes to the menu with the help of my son who has come all the way from Mexico to head up the kitchen in Loca 2.0. We're an authentically Mexican father and son chef team - probably the only in the UAE!” says Executive Chef Juan, Loca. 

 

Key highlights from the new dishes include:

 

Almendras Guacamole (75AED)

Made to order at the table with avocado, smoked almonds, creamy queso fresco cheese, fresh lime, pico de gallo and oregano.

 

Chipotle Guacamole (65AED)

Made to order at the table with avocados, smoked chipotle, manchego cheese, pico de gallo and oregano.

 

Agua Chile de Camerones Ceviche (76AED)

Traditional Mexican ceviche prepared with fresh shrimps, zesty lime, mango, papaya and cilantro.

 

Taquitos De Codero (92AED)

Soft corn tortillas filled with spiced lamb, lightly fried and served with black beans and creamy queso fresco cheese.

 

Mar Y Tierra Fajitas (155AED)

Grilled angus beef served with juicy corn fed chicken and lightly cooked fish and shrimp. Served with a generous portion of flour tortillas, Mexican rice, sour cream and the famous Loca guacamole.
