Canon Saudi Arabia strengthens support to Saudi Vision 2030 with skills development programmes for youth

Canon Saudi Arabia, the leading provider of imaging technologies and services, has further strengthened its support to helping realise the goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030 through skills development programmes for youth and offering advanced solutions that meet the needs of the education sector. This builds on the focus of Saudi Arabia, over the past two years of commencing direct operations in the Kingdom, to extend its support to the education sector.

As part of its commitment to empowering youth and strengthening the education sector, Canon Saudi Arabia provided on-the-ground activations at the Graduation Week of King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah.

Canon hosted workshops on topics including youth empowerment, HR and entrepreneurship that aim to inspire the student and prepare them for future careers. As part of its collaboration for the Graduation Week, Canon also presented photography booths for students to print their graduation photos instantly in a range of sizes in addition to Zoemini click and print activities.

Shadi Bakhour, Business Unit Director, B2B, Canon Middle East and General Manager, Canon Saudi Arabia said: “We are committed to the goals of the Kingdom, outlined in Saudi Vision 2030, to empower Saudi youth talent and support their onward journey as young professionals. From skillset development through printing and photography training workshops to offering advanced solutions for the education sector, we will continue to focus on building the skills of Saudi youth. Through our support to King Abdulaziz University, we are further engaging with the students and inspiring them to pursue rewarding careers.”

“Following Canon’s corporate philosophy of ‘Kyosei’ which means living and working together for the common good and as part of our corporate culture, Canon Saudi Arabia will continue to build and strengthen its relationships with Saudi society through various education driven programmes”; he further added.

Canon Saudi Arabia recently introduced the EFL+ programme which has been developed to target universities and higher education institutions to increase the adoption of new digital technologies that help progress the quality of education.  It enables universities and other higher educational institutions to build a digitally enabled and secure learning environment that addresses challenges within the education sector.
