Bosphorus Summit identifies Vision 2030’s strong points

The 7th Bosphorus Summit in Istanbul held a special session on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Turkey’s Vision 2023 in the presence of Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment Majid Al-Qassabi. 


Al-Qassabi headed the Saudi delegation to the summit. During the special session, the participants discussed the features of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, its available investment opportunities, promising economic sectors, and the areas of strength of the Kingdom which, is one of the 20 largest economies in the world and a member of the Group of Twenty (G-20). 


Participating in the session were Secretary-General of the Foreign Trade Committee of the Council of Saudi Chambers Omar Bahlaiwah, Deputy Governor of Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority for Investors’ Services Adnan Al-Sharqi and a number of Turkish officials and businessmen from the Saudi and Turkish sides.


Al-Qassabi pointed out that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 is an ambitious vision, where the Kingdom is working on attracting qualitative investments to raise investment level, support job creation for young people and citizens, and promote trade between the states, their allies and partners.


The minister said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), on the sidelines of summit, which was held Tuesday in the Turkish city of Istanbul: “There are many Saudi investments in Turkey as well as there are many Turkish companies operating in the Kingdom.”
He stressed that the participation of ministers and leading figures from approximately 90 countries in this summit will reinforce the fact that this summit comes out with a future global economic vision to address global challenges.
