Japanese robot technology was also part of JETRO’s participation; robot experts Mars Electric showcased a humanoid talking robot designed to assist in multiple services. Visitors of the Japanese stand were able to get a closer look and interact with the robot.

Masami Ando, Managing Director, JETRO - Middle East and North Africa noted that the wide participation of Japanese companies in GITEX Technology Week 2016 is a testament to the excellent relations between the UAE and Japan and their desire to share insights and expertise.

Ando noted that this is JETRO’s first participation in GITEX Technology Week, but that they are keen to participate annually to highlight the capabilities of established and emerging Japanese technology companies and bring to light technologies that could be an added value to the field.

Among JETRO’s lineup at GITEX was also Secual which offered their flexible burglary prevention system which can be linked to a smartphone app. The system has been proven effective in alerting users to possible threats thus avoiding burglaries.

The emerging Japanese company, PrimeSap was also present at the JETRO stand. They offered their latest solutions in personal health and state-of-the-art fitness trackers that can analyze and monitor day to day activity.

A new Japanese innovation which helps motorists avoid car crashes garnered a lot of interest during GITEX when the Japanese company, Pyrenee, unveiled its unique technology for road safety.

NetLED, leaders in energy-saving technology, offered visitors the opportunity to get a closer look on their latest inventions in specialized lighting for restaurants, hotels and theaters which offer a comfortable ambience for guests and patrons when they are exposed to lighting for long hours.
