Saudi Esports Federation and Japan Esports Union finalize new human resources development partnership

The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) today announced a new strategic partnership with the Japan Esports Union (JESU) to enhance ties and drive human resources development across territories.

Moving forward, SEF and JESU will increase collaboration and knowledge exchange to meet mutual aspirations surrounding human resources, an area that has become increasingly crucial for advancing the esports industry and fostering continuous improvement. The partnership was finalized with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed by HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, President of SEF, and Hideki Hayakawa, Chairman at JESU.

Commenting on the partnership, HRH Prince Faisal said: “Amidst the incredible synergy between the Saudi Esports Federation and Japan Esports Union, our shared commitment to human resources development is not solely a collaboration – it's a beacon illuminating the path to unlocking the esports industry's full potential. By concentrating our collective efforts and resources on a range of human resources areas in due course, we will make tremendous progress toward redefining what’s possible for everybody connected with esports.”

With esports growth, development, and popularity accelerating dramatically in both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the coming years will see SEF and JESU collaborate across a host of human resources areas. Under the terms of the MoU, the two parties aim to support talent and infrastructure development and open up new opportunities, thereby contributing to increased competitiveness locally and internationally.

Hayakawa said: “We are pleased to have concluded an MOU regarding human resource development with the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF). As esports continues to grow exponentially, human resource development in various fields is an important issue. The Saudi Esports Academy operated by SEF provides an excellent curriculum to produce global esports talent and improve their competitive ability. JeSU resonates strongly with the ideals of the Academy and will work together with them through international personnel exchanges and the introduction of instructors.”
