Yas Mall returns once again as a key component of Abu Dhabi’s legendary Yasalam festival. The Capital’s biggest mall on Yas Island will host a myriad of new entertainment activities in the run up to November’s big race weekend.

 

As the largest city-wide free entertainment festival run by any race host city, Yasalam blends motorsport with diverse music, art and community events. Now, with the countdown to the 2016 edition well underway, Yas Mall is set to provide the setting for the many attributes of Yasalam to come to life.

From unplugged sessions with the top ten shortlisted stars of the Emerging Talent Competition (ETC) to indoor workout sessions as part of Get Driver Fit brought to you by Daman’s Activelife, Yas Mall will become a live epicenter of Yasalam action as the festival gets into gear. Extending the excitement of the Abu Dhabi Corniche all the way to Yas Island will be the Urban Art Zone giving visitors a chance to channel their inner creative talent while scream-inducing pop phenomenon The5 will visit Yas Mall on the Thursday of the big race weekend.

Emerging Talent Competition at Yas Mall – 27 October

An unmissable opportunity for local musical artists, the Emerging Talent Competition will land at Yas Mall with ten shortlisted artists performing acoustic sessions on Thursday, 27 October from 7pm-9pm. The live shows will act as a core component of the ETC which aims to offer a performance platform for local stars of the future.

 

Get Driver Fit at Yas Mall – 5 November

As the capital’s favourite city-wide fitness programme, people of all levels from the Abu Dhabi community can participate in the seven-week programme, which promotes an active and healthy lifestyle across the city with Yas Mall set to a host training session for the first time. The open workout session will take place on Saturday, 5 November from 10am-11am.

 

Urban Art Zone at Yas Mall – 10 and 11 November

Following a number of successful years as part of Live on the Corniche, the celebrated Urban Art Zone is expanding to give the community an experience in bringing creativity to everyday life. Extending the artistry and culture at Yas Mall will be piano painting with a local artist after which talented musicians will get behind the keys for a unique entertainment experience. The installment will take place on Thursday, 10 November and Friday, 11 November from 2pm-10pm.

 

The5 – 24 November

Regional pop sensations The5 will be bringing some star quality to Yas Mall this year with a public appearance and signing session at Virgin Megastores set to thrill the crowds on Thursday, 24 November from 6pm.
