The course will look at why EPC Contracts are used,and the challenges that they present, both for Clients and Contractors. It will also examine the drafting of EPC Contracts, and look at real examples, with a view to showing how to avoid or manage problems. The key skills addressed will include understanding different contracting strategies, appreciating the problems that EPC solves, and those it does not; considering the issues from both the Client’s and Contractor’s point of view, drafting and negotiating contracts, and managing contractual relationships to avoid disputes.
