Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana in collaboration with Lena, is hosting a free Zumba class on March 21st, 2016! Are you ready?

                                                         

Chances are you have already heard about Zumba, but maybe are not sure what it exactly entails. To sum it up Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves and it counts more than 12 million fans across 125 countries worldwide and Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana welcomes this fast spreading new trend in fitness. You don’t need to know how to dance though, you just need to move!

Lena, a professional instructor is passionate about Zumba and has personally felt the benefits of it.

“I am a pharmacist from Montreal, Canada who always had a passion for dance and exercise. I moved to the UAE 10 years ago and took up my first Zumba class 4 years ago once my kids were of school age. It was love at first move!!!! I now try to convey this love to my students as an instructor”, said Lena, Zumba instructor at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana.

Zumba routines incorporate interval training, alternating fast and slow moves which in itself provides an amazing cardio workout. Depending on the intensity and amplitude of your moves, you are sure to burn between 500 and 1000 calories per class. However, the most important aspect of a Zumba class is the fun factor. Zumba is FUN! The first thing you will notice once you take up Zumba is your increased sense of self confidence. The physical benefits (weight loss, toning, increased endurance etc.) just seem like an afterthought because Zumba does not feel like exercise.
