Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge’s 4th qualifier won by Mapetla and Fueste

The 18th edition of the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge held its fourth qualifying round at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club on Thursday, May 12, 2016. Over 70 golfers participated in the qualifier which saw Robert Mapetla and Mick Fueste from team Habshan Hackers, take the honours with a score of 43.

 

Runners-up were John Moore and Patrick Morrow of Team RGS, with a score of 42. After countback third place went to Edoardo Galeppini and Michael Nielsen from Team Cigispeed Rickmers, fourth place to Paul Abouchakra and Hisham Shammas from Team Under Par, and fifth to Alan Salem and Soumaya Salem from Team Al Jeyad - all who carded 39.

 

Chrysler’s Nearest the Pin on Hole 5 was won by Dave Storey, Select Property Group’s Hole 8 Nearest the Pin by Jehangir Makhdum, while deVere Acuma’s Nearest the Pin on Hole 16 was won by to Aniket Chitnis.

 

The ‘King of Pars’ competition, sponsored by deVere Acuma, recognises and rewards teams that perform best on Par 3's, Par 4's and Par 5's. Winners of the King of Pars in the fourth qualifier are:

  • King of the Par 3: Philip Lynagh and Martin Lambert
  • King of the Par 4: George Akhras and Adonis Nasr
  • King of the Par 5: Anish Bhatia and Swati Singh

Teams that score the best on the various hole types win a prize as well as enter the 'Golden Ticket' draw, which will see the lucky entrant win a place in the 2016 Grand Final. 

 

Partners of the tournament this year include Ajman Tourism (2016 Host City – Grand Final), deVere Acuma, Chrysler, and Select Property.
