Winners announced on Saudi Health million-riyal challenge

5th Season of WA'AI Pan-Arab Health awareness visual content awards

Saudi Health Minister Fahad Al-Jalajel stressed the pivotal role local health awareness played in helping Saudi society combat the pandemic, his comments on Monday, October 24, came at the closing ceremony of the WA'AI awareness awards at its fifth season which was held in the capital city Riyadh.

 

Al-Jalajel added that health awareness is a preventive measure, and this is what the country’s vision 2030 is based on, stressing that adequate health information is an effective recipe for a healthy life full.

 

Minister Al-Jalajel praised the participants in the WA'AI Award, saying: “We're happy with this awareness that spreads and can be felt all around us, for example, in the STEPs initiative, the number of those who participated in calculating the number of their steps through the SEHATY application increased from 4000 in 2019 to more than 830000 in 2022, and this number is constantly growing".

 

The awards which were organized by the ministry in partnership with the Saudi Health Insurance Council were open to participants from all Arab countries.

 

Filmmaker Abdulaziz Al-Zahrani won first place and the grand prize for his short film titled: Awareness begins with a question, while Abdullah Asiri won first place in the motion graphics track. Maryam Omran won first place in the infographic track. while Hussein Al-Hashim won first place in the photography track.
