Leading Saudi IT solution provider Wareef is proud to be a summit partner for IDC’s 2015 Middle East CIO Summit in Riyadh.

The event is a unique opportunity for CIOs and other senior IT executives throughout the region to learn about emerging technology trends and best business practices from leading IDC analysts and researchers. Through featured presentations, case studies, discussion groups and peer networking sessions, executives will gather insights critical to both their IT infrastructure and their business strategy.

“IDC's annual Saudi Arabia CIO Summit plays a crucial role in both shaping and reflecting opinions across the region's continuously evolving ICT sector. ICT chiefs and line-of-business executives need to invoke the spirit of cooperation as they embrace emerging technologies in their quest to facilitate key corporate objectives. The IDC Saudi Arabia CIO Summit presents an opportunity for CIOs, ICT professionals and leading technology vendors to gain insight from industry experts as well as CIOs on critical business and technology issues" says Abdulaziz Al-Helayyil, IDC's regional director for Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain

For the first time at this year’s event, IDC is introducing a series of workshops focused on such timely topics as cloud, the third platform, mobility strategy, enterprise architecture alignment and IT talent management.

“Wareef has been working closely with clients in this region for over 15 years. We utilize local resources and take a strategic, Arabic-based approach to help them bridge the gap between business and IT. So being a partner in an event like IDC’s CIO Summit in Riyadh is a great fit for Wareef on many levels,” said Safwan Khuzai, Wareef Chief Executive Officer.

IDC expects spending on ICT products and services in Saudi Arabia to reach $37 billion in 2015, up 4.6 percent from 2014. The increased spending will be driven by factors such as a growing interest in hybrid cloud services and a projected 28 per cent jump in shipments of LTE devices that will bring the total number of smartphones in the kingdom to 16 million by the end of this year.
