Volkswagen Group Saudi Arabia has announced the appointment of Naif Bin Faisal Al-Sudairy as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Al-Sudairy brings over 15 years’ experience in group leadership roles from international companies including Saudi British Bank (SABB), HSBC Saudi Arabia, and Schlumberger Limited in USA. 

In his role, Mr. Al-Sudairy will be representing the Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche brands throughout the Kingdom. In recognition of the country’s significance and its role as a regional leader, the Volkswagen Group made a strategic decision to establish a presence in the Kingdom, registering Volkswagen Group Saudi Arabia in the year 2013 – the country’s first manufacturer office with the objective of creating a positive impact in the Kingdom with outstanding products, international standards of customer experience, superior after-sales facilities and training, on-going operational growth and development ,  leveraging local human resources, and creating job opportunities. 

Commenting on his appointment, Al-Sudairy said, “I am honored to have been chosen for this position and I thank the board for their trust in my abilities to further development this renowned brand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

“Our strategic focus areas for the Volkswagen Group will be the development and establishment of the retail and after-sales network throughout the Kingdom, and the delivery of international standards for our customer service through international training and development of our local talent. We aim to ensure that our customers are at the centre of everything we do, delivering Service Excellence for each and every customer.”

Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) USA, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southampton, UK, Mr. Al-Sudairy will now lead Volkswagen Group Saudi Arabia and establish a new strategic path for the company, prior to joining Volkswagen Group Saudi Arabia Mr. Al-Sudairy worked as the Head of Saudi Global Corporates and Division Head Global Banking in Saudi British Bank (SABB).
