UAE Can Serve as ‘GLOBAL LOGISTICS HUB’

As international and regional food & beverage (F&B) logistics experts met at today’s Food Logistics Forum – a knowledge sharing platform at Gulfood Manufacturing, which runs until November 9 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) - Nadia Abdul Aziz, President of the UAE’s National Association of Freight and Logistics (NAFL), the Forum’s official logistics partner, stressed Dubai is well-positioned to strengthen its positon as a global logistics hub.

With more than 30 of the sector’s key decision-makers and influencers probing various strategies needed by the f&b sector to adapt to new economic realities, Abdul Aziz insisted: “Dubai’s strategic location and exceptional connectivity at the ports makes it ideal for food re-exports.”

Abdul Aziz added that the country’s infrastructure and free zones present “an attractive opportunity for international and regional food logistics firms to set up food handling facilities.”

The Food Logistics Forum is the region’s only specific logistics event for the f&b industry. Gulfood Manufacturing, the Middle East’s biggest food manufacturing, processing and packaging, logistics and materials handling exhibition, is open between 10am – 6pm until November 9.
