On 1 November 2016, new extended transit visa permissions were enacted, allowing passengers transiting through Doha to stopover for up to four days. Qatar Airways restructured its fares to ensure passengers could book the lowest fare available for the dates provided, and take advantage of the free transit visa. The new transit visa is only available to Qatar Airways passengers.
