Truckers Summer Warehouse, a two-month indoor food truck festival, will add a dose of music, gaming, and art as it transforms Hall No. 8 of Dubai World Trade Centre into a funky foodie haven. As part of this year’s Dubai Summer Surprises, the newest hangout this season will feature themed nights that will take place every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, starting 6th July until 2nd September, from 4pm to 11pm.

 

It’s gaming night on Wednesdays

Truckers Summer Warehouse will be filled with free-to-play games which shape a whole generation of gamers.  Powered by IGN Middle East, the event will focus on themed gaming experiences such as old school arcades, consoles, collaborative games, and the latest gaming technology. Both young and old can immerse in an experience in a virtual world with motion tracked controllers; face off against other players at the console gaming zone or tabletop games; heighten the experience of playing Japanese fighting video game Tekken in a gaming pod; relive the good old days recreating the charm of traditional arcade; or simply relax and lounge in bean bags streaming all-time favourite movies. 

 

A grand finale at the end of the season will bring all type of gamers and gaming experiences together to showcase the latest titles, hold gaming tournaments and provide an opportunity for fans to meet IGN team members. The finale will be live streamed and offer visitors opportunity to win tons of gaming goodies as well as purchase some of the best products from regional artists and gaming companies. More details will be revealed as the finale approaches.

 

Ladies night on Thursdays

For those ladies who like to end their working week with an awesome night out, Truckers Summer Warehouse got it covered. Ladies get to enter for free on Thursdays and avail two house beverages for the price of one.

 

Cooking classes on Saturdays

Be a food truck chef for a day! Learn practical skills, discover new recipes, and prepare them inside a food truck. Cooking studio Top Chef will conduct one-hour-long cooking classes featuring efficient and unique teaching concept where students can learn the necessary culinary skills and recipes to cook at home on a daily basis. Available for both adults and kids aged 6 to 12 every Saturday from July 22.  Kids’ session starts at 5pm for AED85, followed by adults’ session at 8pm for AED 150. ARTE, The Makers’ Market on Truckers DXB on Saturdays

Complementing Truckers DXB’s core objective to showcase local talents by providing them with a platform, ARTE, The Makers’ Market comprising the Artisans of the Emirates, will come on board providing a unique alternative shopping experience. ARTE will showcase 35 of its finest artisans, presenting their handmade creations ranging from jewellery, art, fashion, toys, and even skincare products.

Home delivery

Those who cannot wait for Truckers Summer Warehouse to open at 4pm can opt for home delivery. Order your favourite meal from participating food trucks through Zomato and have it delivered to your door step. Deliveries will be available for lunch and dinner and available in select locations: DIFC, Downtown, and Business Bay.

These activities are in addition to around 15 homegrown food trucks serving fusion cuisines and authentic food from all over the world. Organized by events management company Core ME, Truckers Summer Warehouse is open to families of all ages from 4pm till 11pm with entry fee of AED 10 per person and kids below 12 years old can enter for free.
