Tourism sector undergoing significant transformation

The tourism industry in the Kingdom is witnessing great interest by authorities to develop the archaeological areas, promote their support services and create the best environment for tourism products, said businessman Abdul Mohsen Al-Hokair.
He said: “The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH), under the leadership of Prince Sultan bin Salman, is working to establish a strong tourism industry, putting the Kingdom in a significant position on the Arab and international tourism map.”
Al-Hokair said that the SCTNH is working to overcome obstacles facing investors in the field of tourism, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and the various municipalities throughout the Kingdom.
The businessman said that tourism in the Kingdom has become the second source of national income because it brings financial returns and economic movement, particularly during Umrah and Haj seasons, confirming that investments in the tourism sector contribute to the national economy through employment and preparation of local cadres, and the development of this important industry.
He stated that the tourism industry in the Kingdom is going according to the planned direction, providing the best environments, climates, beaches, deserts, mountains, springs and unprecedented warm hospitality.
