The international Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) is set to gather in Dubai, United Arab Emirates some of the world’s most famous plastic surgeons for a two-day scientific course that will delve into the exciting developments in the field of plastic surgery.

To be held on November 16 and 17 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the event—spearheaded by ISAPS course director, Dr. Jamal Jomah, a renowned triple board-certified plastic surgeon—will cover developments in the practice of breast surgery, fat injection, facial rejuvenation, and eyelid surgery.

Aside from the presence of ISAPS past President Dr. Susumu Takayanagi, and the European Society for Laser Aesthetic Surgery  President Dr. Dana Jianu the event is made more interesting with the presence of 32 other eminent international speakers who will share their experiences in their respective fields of expertise.

The course will be divided into eight whole-day sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 5: 30 p.m., and will cover various specific topics for each of the four procedures. Dr. Takayanagi, himself, will be one of the presenters.

For breast surgery, among the topics that will be discussed are regarding new technologies and its impact on beast aesthetics and reconstruction, strategies in breast augmentation management, and complications of breast surgery

For fat injection, lecturers will discuss, among others, the aesthetic breast reconstruction using implants and fat, lipofilling in body and face, and restoring lost volume due to complications.

For facial rejuvenation, on the other hand, experts will discuss methods to enhance the face using a non-surgical approach, face skeletal augmentation, and complications of facial fillers.

For eyelid surgery, topics will include upper eyelid rejuvenation, surgery for a double eyelid, and surgical techniques to rejuvenate an aging upper eyelid, among others.

Furthermore, the course on the second day will also include approaches and issues concerning genital surgery procedures, such as reconstructive and aesthetic approaches, Surgery as well of male private region, among many others.

Aside from gripping discussions, the event will also serve as venue where new technologies in lasers, and other three-dimensional technologies will be introduced.

Furthermore, speakers will also share the current trends and innovations, as well as new products, particularly prosthetic breast implants for reconstructive and cosmetic cases. A large exhibition will also be set up for everyone to explore.

To make discussions more interactive and lively, session moderators will lead a question and answer portion to give everyone a chance to request for clarifications, or simply share their thoughts.

Session 1 will be moderated by Dr. Buthainah Al Shunnar, Session 2 by Dr. Sabah Al Marush, Session 3 by Dr. Sanjay Parashar, and Session 4 by Dr. Dany Kayle.

Session 5 on the second day will then be moderated by Dr. Omar AlAmeri, Session 6 by Dr. Qasem Alahli, Session 7 by Dr. Mohan Rangaswamy, and Session 8 by Dr. Khalid Alawadi.

Considered as the biggest plastic surgery event in the region for the year 2016, the course is expected to attract a huge number of plastic surgeons from different parts of the region.
