The Carlton Hotel St. Moritz is Switzerland’s Leading Hotel 2016

Dominic Bachofen, Hotel Manager of the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz:
“We strive to offer our guests a truly unique and wonderful experience – an escape from everyday life and a change of scenery with the very highest quality of service. We are therefore immensely proud to be named Switzerland’s Leading Hotel at the World Travel Awards as it shows us that we are committed to the right concept.”

St. Moritz/Santa Margherita di Pula (5 September 2016). The Carlton Hotel St. Moritz was awarded the title of Switzerland’s Leading Hotel 2016 at this year’s World Travel Awards. The awards ceremony was held yesterday in the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia. The World Travel Awards were first held in 1994 and are among the most prestigious awards in the tourism industry. The rankings are based on judgement of around 167,000 industry experts – including travel agencies, tour operators and transport companies from over 160 countries – and more than 650,000 individual votes submitted over the last 16 weeks.

“We are immensely pleased and very proud to receive this independent award and the recognition for our unwavering commitment to our guests”, commented Dominic Bachofen, Hotel Manager of the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz, who accepted the coveted award together with his wife, Laurence, at the ceremony in Sardinia.

Each year, hotels across Switzerland that successfully combine service and infrastructure to create a unique guest experience are nominated in the Switzerland’s Leading Hotel category. Being chosen as Switzerland’s best hotel as the new season approaches is something that Dominic Bachofen and his team are particularly delighted about: “Being recognised for our work is something that motivates us even more and has given us a real boost before the start of the winter season.”

The Carlton Hotel St. Moritz opens its doors on 16 December 2016, and the team is looking forward to welcoming guests who will be attending the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships 2017.
