THE ART OF COOKING WITH KHALIDYA PALACE RAYHAAN BY ROTANA

Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana held a live cooking demonstration of select recipes in Abu Dhabi centre for humanitarian care and special needs people.

Chef Abu Halab, Executive Chef at Kamoon Restaurant, engaged the children in an interactive cooking session, crafting classic delicacies. The session also witnessed an exchange of ideas for putting together wholesome meals, featuring different cuisines that can be savored in many occasions.

This institute is the first and biggest centre from 19 centres under Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs in Abu Dhabi. This visit was conducted by heads of departments of Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana, who showed their support to the children there.

“The smiles on the children’s faces, and full bellies were our main goal. Chef Abu Halab did his best to make them feel special, and prepare for them a delicious meal that will be remembered for long. Helping and reaching out to these organizations is an amazingly rewarding experience.” said Eleni Tsolakou, General Manager at Khalidiya Palace by Rotana.

“I have always loved how food brings people together, and many thanks to the lovely people from the centre for all of their hard work. The happiness of the children was mesmerizing, they were interacting with everyone, and this day will surely be remembered by its good food making and joy.” said Chef Abu Halab, Executive Chef at Khalidiya Palace by Rotana.

The children were very happy to help making some of the traditional Arabic dishes, and the Chef was glad he had that much help. He was keen on providing the children with a set of guidelines on ways of preparing and serving a range of Arab dishes, which demonstrated his unmatched culinary skills in the preparation of the same. His colleagues were there making sure that the children are having fun, and that everything goes smoothly. It was a day full of laughter and fun.

“We really appreciate the support of Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana, they are always welcome in our centre. The children are used to their visits by now, and are always very excited to see the Rotana staff.”  Said Meitha Almuhairi, Head of Vocational Training Department at the Abu Dhabi Centre for handicapped people.

Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana’s team had a great day at the Centre, and this visit, the first one of the new 2016, is surely not the last. With the aim of improving the children’s positive behavioural patterns the whole team had the pleasure to spend time with them now and in the future.
