TENNIS PLAYER JANNIK SINNER BECOMES THE NEW AMBASSADOR FOR PARMIGIANO REGGIANO

Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium announces the two-year agreement with the rising tennis star Sinner

The nineteen-year old rising tennis star Jannik Sinner becomes the new face of Parmigiano Reggiano.

Once again, Parmigiano Reggiano invests in the world of sport to highlight the naturalness, authenticity and intrinsic product qualities that make it a key food in everyone’s diet, young and old, including sportspeople, who get a totally natural energy boost from Parmigiano Reggiano.

Jannik Sinner is the youngest player in the top 100 ATP Rankings, where he reached number 68 in the world on February 17, 2020. The holder of three Challenger and two ITF titles, in 2019 he became the youngest winner in the history of the NextGen ATP Finals. He is trained by Riccardo Piatti and Andrea Volpini and was voted 2019 Newcomer of the Year by his ATP colleagues.

He played in the ATP 250 Auckland Open, and for the first time his ranking gained him direct entry into the main draw of the Australian Open. With his defeat of Max Purcell in the first round, he became the youngest Italian player in history to win a match in the Australian Open and, after Diego Nargiso, the second youngest to go beyond the first round in a Grand Slam event.

He prefers fast surfaces, particularly indoors. Despite his very young age, he has a very rational mental approach to matches and an on-court attitude typical of highly experienced players.

“I am honoured to become Ambassador of a brand such as Parmigiano Reggiano, which is an icon of the Made in Italy sector. I have been a loyal consumer of this product since I was little; I believe strongly in this partnership, which I hope will endure” said Jannik Sinner.

“Parmigiano Reggiano and Jannik Sinner are a winning combination: both models of Made in Italy excellence, synonymous with naturalness and character. Parmigiano Reggiano has always been an important part of the diet of sportspeople, a ready-to-use reserve of energy before, during and after every physical activity,” said the President of the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium, Nicola Bertinelli
