Rosso highlights a Sicilian gastronomic treasure this November

 From the 1st to the 30th of November, the award-winning Italian eatery, Rosso at Amwaj Rotana, throws a spotlight on the Mazara red prawn from the shores of Italy.

 

Home to the largest fishing fleet in Italy, the coastal town of Mazara del Vallo is well known for its seafood and mostly, the fiery red prawns hauled fresh out of the ocean’s waters from as far back as 1930.

 

The Mazara red prawn, typically fished in the Mediterranean, has a slightly pronounced sweet taste which makes it a versatile ingredient for any dish with no end to the different pairings of pasta, soup and vegetables. Its vivid deep red colour adds life and contrast to every dish too.
