In line with its leading role and outstanding performance in the Saudi market, Shaker Group, the sole distributor of LG Air Conditioners in Saudi Arabia for more than 20 years, reaffirmed the strong partnership by renewing the agreement contract with LG Electronics for the LG- Shaker Factory in Riyadh for another 10 years, starting 13th September 2016 until the 12th September 2026.

 

This agreement represents a furtherance to the successful cooperation between the two companies, which has constituted to significant contribution to the economic growth in the Saudi market, where Shaker Group has been rooted in the Saudi community through understanding their needs for over six decades. The partnership with world renowned LG for ten more years will inevitably put more strategic plans that aspire to achieve common goals and translate the vision of the future by employing the latest modern technologies in innovations that suit the needs of the Saudi consumer. All this goes in line with the efforts exerted by the Saudi government to raise the awareness on energy saving in Saudi Arabia, in addition to the nationalizing technology and training of national talents.

 

On this occasion, Mr Abdulelah Abdullah Abunayyan, Chairman of Shaker Group stated that: “after more than 65 years, Shaker Group was able to cross so far in the objectives it had set forth at the beginning of the path, and continued its developmental journey until it became a prominent name and leader in the home appliance and air conditioning business in the Kingdom and region and the superior quality of services that is presented by Shaker Group in the Saudi market is the key to this ongoing success.”

 

 

 

 

The LG- Shaker factory is a national treasure boasted by local expertise that contribute to the growth of the Saudi economy by employing national talents and optimizing local technologies in the cooling industry. The factory began operation in March of 2008 with a production capacity of 250,000 units per annum, reaching a whopping 1.450 million units by the end of 2014. Abunayyan explained that this massive increase is owed to the increasing demand on LG air conditioners due to the outstanding quality of environmentally friendly technology that is bearable in different weather conditions. 

 

Abunayyan concluded by announcing that the renewal of this partnership is part of the leading role Shaker Group is practicing in the Saudi market, especially that LG air conditioners are the most sold in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for 10 consecutive years in a row. 

 

Mr. Hwan Yung Nho, President of B2B at LG Electronics expressed his pride in the partnership with Shaker Group which is represented by more than 20 years of fruitful cooperation and successes, especially in the contribution in the development of the Saudi economy with the first agreement signed in 2006, stating that: “The renewal of the agreement affirms the solid partnership for many years to come, working on maintaining and growing the success in line with our combined visions in providing the most innovative services and technologies, which are environmentally friendly and power saving in the Saudi market.”
