The 3rd SFDA Annual Conference & Exhibition under the title “Consumer engagement and consumer- centered regulation" will open tomorrow in Riyadh for three days at Riyadh international conventions &exhibitions. CEO of SFDA, Dr. Hisham Al-Jadhey, begins the opening ceremony of the conference at 10:30 a.m. and then begins the first sessions of the conference, which comes this year according to a diverse scientific program of scientific events and sessions and various awareness training courses and workshops aimed at all to activate the role of the ultimate consumer to protect the society in an active partnership that serves the country, and is in line with the objectives of SFDA since the launch of the conference in the past two years, It includes 12 conference sessions, 4 product registration training sessions, 15 workshops and 4 free awareness sessions which 110 international and local speakers speak, and the scientific program of this year's conference includes a free awareness course entitled "Promising investments and multiple opportunities - steps to enter the Saudi market" in cooperation with SAGIA and a number of participating government agencies to shed light on the opportunities for investment in Saudi Arabia and how the foreign enter the Saudi market and the steps taken.

As for the exhibition accompanying the conference, this year comes ahead of the last two years in terms of the number of local and international companies participating in the exhibition, where the number of companies more than 200 companies including 120 companies and local exhibitors, and more than 80 international exhibitors with a total of 3500 brands and the participation of 20 countries with 220 investors such as Denmark, Pakistan, India, Jordan, Bangladesh, Australia and Sudan.

The exhibition is accompanied by many activities and workshops that are held on the interactive platform during the exhibition hours, and perhaps the most important feature of this year's exhibition is the increment of the number of sponsors of the exhibition, where the number of sponsors reached nearly 53 sponsoring companies, and expected to reach the number of visitors this year to 20,000 interested visitors and specialists from researchers, doctors, businessmen and investors. It is worth mentioning that SFDA will recognize all the companies supporting the initiatives of SFDA which was launched this year, such as the Facility Assessment Initiative, the Fungal Detox Reduction Initiative and other initiatives aimed at raising the efficiency of the facilities to provide the best standards for consumer safety and health.

Mr. Mazen Al Ismail, Director of the Organizing Committee, stated that the most important thing that distinguishes this year's conference and exhibition is the continuous solidarity between the employees of SFDA and the supporting companies, pointing out the positive role of these companies in achieving the objectives of the conference and its vision aimed at achieving safety in the food sectors, drug and medical devices sectors, and what motivates them by supporting others to participate, and if it were not for the remarkable solidarity between the public and private sector, this vision would not have been realized.
