SCTNH chief to attend US tourism conference

Prince Sultan bin Salman, the president of Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH), is scheduled to participate in a world tourism conference in the US next week, following an invitation by the executive president of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).

The 16th WTTC conference, “Travel Beyond Boundaries,” to be held in Dallas on Wednesday, will be attended by US President Barack Obama, a number of tourism ministers from around the world and executives of tourism and hospitality industry.
Prince Sultan will address a closed-door ministerial session, which will deal with security and safety in the field of travel and tourism and combating terrorism.
Besides Saudi Arabia, tourism officials and ministers from the Bahamas, Egypt, Morocco, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Seychelles, Thailand, Uganda, Zimbabwe will attend the event. 
The prince will brief the participants on the Kingdom’s experience and efforts in promoting tourism, creating job opportunities, besides investment and diversification. 
The WTTC is set to honor Obama for promoting the American tourism industry during his two terms through the “National Strategy for Travel and Tourism.”
