Saudi Cabinet assigns export control mandates to governance committee

Saudi Arabia's Cabinet ruled that all decisions to ban or restrict product exports must be made through the committee overseeing export-control governance procedures.

Under the decision, the framework will apply to all export restrictions and bans, including those previously imposed under laws, Cabinet resolutions, royal directives, or other regulatory instruments.

The committee was also tasked with reviewing existing regulations that grant government entities authority to restrict or prohibit exports and proposing amendments to align them with the unified governance framework.
