Saudi Arabia’s permanent representative at the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, alongside the Kingdom’s delegation at the United Nations, held a workshop to introduce the National Center for Performance Measurement of public bodies “Adaa”.
Adaa measures public entity performance and beneficiary satisfaction on public services. It also aims to enable public entities by means of effective training and consultation in performance measurement, aiming to drive them to excellence.
WTO Director-General Roberto Azevêdo attended the workshop, as well as Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Michael Møller; Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations; Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the WTO Saleh Al-Husaini; and Saudi Arabia’s Consul General in Geneva, Salah Al-Muraiqeb.
40 ambassadors from member states at the WTO and the UN also participated in the workshop.
The Adaa delegation was headed by engineer Husameddin Al-Madani, Director General of the National Center for Performance Measurement. he was joined by Director of Strategic Partnerships Department Meead Al-Harbi, and Director of the International Performance Hub Sarah Al-Faris.
The workshop tackled the functions of Adaa and its methods of performance measurement, which are based on superior global experiences.
It also addressed the tools and measuring mechanisms of beneficiary satisfaction on public services, as well as empowerment and capacity building programs through which the center aims to disseminate a culture of performance and management measurement to improve government performance.
Moreover, the workshop introduced the International Performance Hub as an electronic platform developed by Adaa to measure Saudi Arabia’s performance trajectory in relation to other nations.
It tracks more than 700 Key Performance Indicators under 12 main pillars that enabled comparison of over 200 countries.
Al-Madani said that Adaa was established with the aim of building a prosperous future for Saudi Arabia and Saudi citizens, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, to fulfill the highest levels of progress in all local, regional and global areas.
