Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd participated at the HVACR Expo Saudi 2016, which is a completely new event focused on the Saudi Arabian Market’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigerating segments. The event was held at the Jeddah Center of Forums & Events between the 11th and 13th of January, under the patronage of Mr. Adnan Mandourah, Secretary General of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

 

The expo is considered a large professional networking event containing over 100 suppliers in one location. The companies in the expo are diverse from over 20 countries. This unique event gives the chance for professionals to become certified with the plethora of workshops that will be held. The event is brought to the public by the same organizers of the “Big Five Saudi”, which has been a great success in the past years.

 

The participation of Samsung in this event aims to increase awareness of potential business customers to the new air conditioning technology that was introduced in HVAC Seoul October of last year. This type of marketing awareness aligns with the goal that was set by President and CEO of Consumer Electronics Business in Samsung Electronics, Mr. BK Yoon, to reach USD 10 billion in sales by the year 2020. Samsung, according to Mr. Yoon, also aims to be the leader of air conditioning solutions by that same year.

 

 

Mr. KeeWon Park, General Manager of Samsung Saudi Arabia stated that, “Each product displayed at the expo has a unique quality that differentiates it from current technologies in the market focusing mainly on Samsung’s New 360 Circular Cassette, Samsung new cutting-edge energy efficient DVM S 30HP, and the DVM S Eco 14HP. These exemplary products are considered a milestone in the air conditioning business thanks to the great amount of research and development that Samsung has invested in this field in the past few years.”

 

Eng. Saher Hilal Head of Air-Conditioning at Samsung Saudi Arabia confirms during the Technical Seminar held at HVACR Expo., that Samsung is exceeding the customers increasing expectations; with developed HVAC products to match Saudi challenging climate, and offering the comfort of cooling, excellence of air quality, quiet operation, and the real power saving solutions.

 

Samsung’s 360 Cassette Unit combines both elegance and performance in a unique and revolutionary manner transmuting any setting it is introduced in. The new design transforms airflow and controls the temperature of the room using an even distribution of air that occurs in a full 360 direction. The 360 Circular Cassette makes traditional four-way cassette look obsolete thanks to the bladeless flow control that ensures 100 percent air volume. These numerous cutting-edge technologies helped increase the cooling speed by 34 percent.

 

The 360 circular cassette design comes with new optional features such as the wheel dial controller, which comes with a specific button devoted for comfort cooling. The Samsung Virus Doctor Kit can also be added to eradicate dust, bacteria, viruses, allergens and airborne contaminants

 

 

Samsung’s new DVM S 30 HP annotated as the new Super DVM- Digital variable Multi air conditioner- enhances the three attributes of performance, efficiency and reliability using cutting-edge innovation. This new product increases its heating capacity by 29 percent using a new Super Inverter Scroll Compressor. A hybrid heat exchanger ensures the increase in heat exchange area. An increase in efficiency by 10 percent and airflow rate by 17 percent is due to the addition of an optimized refrigerant control and a new oval-shaped diffuser, respectively.

 

With all these new features in place, Samsung uses an advanced leak detection system to make sure the DVM S 30 HP conforms to the strict regulations. In the case of leak detection, all valves are isolated within the unit and an active pump down process to collect the refrigerant automatically begins.

 

 

A new side discharge VRF air conditioner, DVM S ECO 14 HP, provides a distinct outdoor unit solution for both apartments and office buildings. Instead of using costly multiple units, the increased horse power (14HP) ensures the need for only one unit to administer the air conditioning for an apartment or office building. In comparison with a standard side discharge VRF unit, the exquisite design guarantees an improved increase in heating performance by 20 percent and increase in airflow by 10 percent. 

 

The highlight of this novel product is the fact that all areas of the building are covered. That is due to the extended piping length of 160 meters and an installation height of up to 50 meters. The DVM S Eco 14 HP has a width less than 1 meter (940cm), which helps in better usage of space. The four-way piping results in a more expedient installation.
