Riyadh governor to open Top 100 Saudi Brands awards ceremony

Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar will inaugurate the Top 100 Saudi Brands awards ceremony in the Kingdom at the Riyadh Marriott Hotel at 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 5.

Usamah M. Al-Kurdi, president of Alagat Company, the organizing firm, said that the top 100 Saudi brands in the Kingdom are local.
“These local brands have reinforced their importance, livelihood, competitiveness, and even ranking with international brands,” he said.
He added:“Certainly, building a brand is a direct reflection of the economic situation and the growth in the Kingdom over the past few years.”
“Nowadays, markets depend greatly on these local products and services offered by national companies renowned for their excellence,” he said.
He added that “They are a source of pride for Saudi citizens, the Kingdom and the overall economy in all sectors that include industry, services, commerce, education and many more,” he said.

He added that the top 100 Saudi brands rely largely on the media in general to get their message through and to build a brand image that sets them apart from other brands, adding that media is the main platform for this purpose.
“Al-Watan newspaper launched this initiative to get better acquainted with the top 100 Saudi brands that consumers prefer,” he said.
He added that “this initiative is not a competition, rather a poll of a portion of Saudi society in an attempt to better know ‘top-of-mind brands’ with Saudi consumers.”
He added that the event will be attended by prominent business leaders, businessmen and government officials.
