“Reimaging Business”: Value Creation through Disruptive Technologies in Saudi Arabia

Sage Middle East, the leading provider of business management solutions  will host two luncheon discussions on trends in disruptive technologies at the Four Seasons Hotel, Kingdom Foyer A, Kingdom Centre, Riyadh on the 11th October, and at the Le Meridien Hotel, Al Khobar on the 13th October under the patronage of HRH Prince Khaled bin Al Waleed.

Sage, the leading provider for business management solutions will delve into the complex and exciting world of ubiquitous computing trends in business. While the use of technology in business operations, manufacturing, and processes is not new, the type of technological integration and innovation will lead to different markets and value networks in the future displacing the old markets and methodologies. This disruptive technology and innovation will need similar innovative processes and policies in places that will help identify, manage, maintain and grow company profits and value.

“Through our discussions we want to outline to the business community here in Saudi Arabia, the trends to watch out for, and highlight the products and services Sage can provide to mitigate and manage these challenging but fascinating changes,” Mr. Jeremy Waterman, Managing Director Sage Enterprise said in relation to Sage’s commitment to driving and managing technological change and development. A cornerstone of the discussions to be held in Riyadh and Al Khobar will be the focus on Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 is usually defined as the fourth wave of the industrial revolution operating within the universe of the internet of things, people, services and data where communication between machines (M2M) without the need for human intervention is a striking feature.

Sensor technology, artificial intelligence, and 3D printing are some examples of technologies that are used in work flows of organizations operating in an Industry 4.0 environment. Organizations operating in an Industry 4.0 environment adhere to the four defining characteristics of Industry 4.0: vertical networking, horizontal integration, through-engineering, and acceleration through exponential technologies. “In addition, to discussing characteristics of the Industry 4.0 and its implications for business growth, we want to showcase our readiness to tackle the future through our products and services, especially Sage X3,” commented Mr. Keith Fenner, Chief Sales Officer, Sage X3 AAMEA | Executive Director & Head of Sage Middle East - Empowering Business Growth Globally.

Saudi Arabia’s entrepreneurial drive led by HRH Prince Khaled bin Al Waleed will be instrumental in applying globally available technologies to bolster the development for oil and non-oil sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, and construction in the country. The use of these technologies within the ecosystem of the internet of things, people, services, and data will lead to value creation along the entire product life-cycles, reduced risks, increased utilization of opportunities, increased competitiveness, and development of human capital. As Saudi Arabia and other oil-dependent countries in the GCC seek to diversify their economies, new technological applications can assist these countries in adapting to and developing global standards.
