RCJ to host scientific forum for students

The Royal Commission of Jubail (RCJ) completed its preparations for holding the first scientific forum for its students in colleges and institutes from Feb. 16 to 18.
The supervising committee’s head, Saleh Al-Zahrani, said: “The forum aims to prepare higher education students for participation in the sixth scientific conference under the supervision of the Ministry of Education.” He added that the supervision committee was approved by Ali bin Hassan Asiri, general manager of colleges and institutes.
“The committee is responsible for the organization and arrangements in coordination with the organizing committees for PR and media, IT, scientific research, scientific innovations, scientific entrepreneurship, and associated works such as community service, documentaries and artworks.”
Al-Zahrani said research work of the students from Jubail Industrial College, Jubail Technical Institute, and Jubail University College will be presented to the scientific committees for assessment.
He said: “The assessment results will be presented to the supervising committee’s head for naming the winners. Such scientific meetings and conferences are held for the benefit of students and will be reflected in their careers, as well as Jubail industrial companies.”
Al-Zahrani added that the event will be held in Jubail Industrial City that includes major international companies, as invitations were sent to many company managers to take advantage of students’ participation and highlight their skills.
There will be an exhibition to display all artworks, documentaries, as well as posters, which relate to research, innovation, entrepreneurship and community service. There will be 115 participants covering all the forum’s themes, he added.
