Arora to head both Ramada Downtown Dubai and Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham

R Hotels announces the promotion of Samir Arora as Cluster General Manager of its two Dubai properties, Ramada Downtown Dubai and Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham.

Prior to his appointment, Arora has served as General Manager of Ramada Downtown Dubai for two and a half years, where he led his team on the refurbishment of the 181-key hotel, including its restaurant, lobby and offices within a period of 18 months. Under his leadership, the property was also able to significantly increase its TripAdvisor and guest satisfaction ratings. In his new role as Cluster General Manager, Arora will oversee the day-to-day operations of both hotels, and ensure the high standards of service rendered to the guests through the different departments. He will also direct the team towards achieving its yearly target through its various sales strategies and marketing campaigns.

Ramada Downtown Dubai and Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham are owned and operated by R Hotels, the hospitality management division of the Ajman-based R Holding. Sumair Tariq, Managing Director of R Hotels congratulated Arora on his new position: “We are confident that he will serve as a great leader to both hotels as he was able to bring in notable developments and contribution not only to Ramada Downtown but also for the group.”

A seasoned hotelier, Arora boasts more than 25 years of hospitality experience. He used to work for Emaar Group as Resident Manager for Vida Downtown, and Executive Assistant Manager for Al Manzil Downtown before joining R Hotels.
