In line with its commitment to promoting the youth, Promenade Ice honoured the Promenade Ice Kuwait Team members for their hard work and imperssive performances in recent competitions, emphasizing Promenade Ice’s position as the country’s premier ice skating training and coaching facility. In the presence of their families, the team’s impressive young skaters were honoured for their excellent efforts at an appreciation ceremony.

 

Promenade Ice has focused its efforts on creating a Kuwaiti Team that can represent the country in competitions abroad as part of its vision to promote sports amongst the youth. The Promenade Ice Academy focuses on teaching students ice skating to a high standard. The coaches work closely with the team in a safe and secure environment to enhance the talents of the young skaters.

 

The young Promenade Ice Kuwait team produced some stellar performances at the high-profile ISI (Ice Skating Institute) Skate Asia Championships which attracts figure skaters from across the Asia and the Middle East. The team’s dedication reaped rewards when the team finished in second-place at the competitive Skate Emirates 2017 event in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.

 

The Promenade Ice management said: “We are very proud of the Promenade Ice Kuwait Team, these young skaters have shown great commitment to ice skating. It is a testament to their diligence that we have showcased the talent of the team in competitions abroad with some excellent performances. Congratulations to the team, the coaches, and of course the families for supporting their children in following their passions”.

 

“Investing in Kuwait talents through introducing new sporting opportunities like ice skating and promoting the youth to develop the Kuwaiti community. This is part of our continued CSR initiatives and we look forward to further harnessing the talents of the youth”, the management added.

 

In addition to celebrating the team’s performance, the Promenade Ice Kuwait coaches were rewarded for their hard work as they recently received the coveted ISI Coaching Accreditation Certification following a stringent examination in front of an expert panel of international judges at the ISI Asia event.
