Dulsco, a regional leader in human resources and waste management solutions, conducted a free medical camp for over 1000 workers from various organisations. Experts from Dulsco Medical Services, Dulsco QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) in association with Rashid Hospital Cardiac and Stroke unit (DHA), Indian Pharmacist Professional Council (IPPC), and Ajman University had organized this campaign that offered free screening and consultation.

The camp was organised to provide workers with an opportunity to get a comprehensive health checkup and a better understanding of their fitness levels. The event was conducted at the Dulsco Village in Al Quoz, that attracted scores of workers from various organisations and were examined by eminent doctors. The event served more than 1,200 workers with the support of 25 doctors. Free medicines worth over 200,000 dirhams were prescribed and handed over to these workers.

“Dulsco regularly conducts such campaigns for the welfare of these workers in the UAE. In 2014, in association with Groupon, we had launched a unique campaign wherein hundreds of workers were given free medical check-ups. We had recently conducted a healthy heart campaign for our employees which was also very well received. Prevention is always better than cure and at Dulsco, we recognize the importance and the need for such periodic health evaluation. We will continue to educate the society through similar campaigns at regular intervals,” said Mubarak Kozhikkal, Head of Dulsco Medical Services.

This medical camp included services such as physician consultation, height, weight and body mass index (BMI) check, blood sugar and blood pressure monitoring, cholesterol monitoring, dental check-up, dietary, nutritional and healthy lifestyle consultation, and also highlighted important health tips which can be practiced on a daily basis. The specialist doctors and departments at the camp entailed - general physicians, orthopedics, ophthalmologists, ENT specialists, dermatologists, cardiologists and dentists.
