Online labor info service launched

Labor Minister Mufrej Al-Haqabani launched a new online information service here on Sunday called "Legal Adviser."

The new service joins the other information services already at the portal link including Rights and Duties, Labor Education, Work Environment, Medical Library, and FAQ's. He said the launch of the service was a "religious and professional duty" because it provides information for both workers and employers. The aim is to protect the rights of both parties.
"This initiative has been launched initially in Arabic and English, but other languages spoken widely by workers in the Kingdom would be added later," he said.
Deputy Labor Minister for Customer and Labor Relations Ziad Al-Sayegh said those seeking information must fill out forms. These are then sent to officials, with replies within days, including on contracts, vacations, working hours, training, employment termination, and end of service benefits.
However, it would not allow for complaints, which should be submitted to labor offices or the ministry's customer service department, Twitter account @MOL CARE or at the Call Center on 19911.
The launch was attended by the Deputy Labor Minister Ahmad Al-Humaidan, Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers and Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdulrahman Al-Zamil, businessmen, legal professionals, human resources directors, diplomats and journalists.
