NWC presents its achievements and projects to a Jordanian delegation

The National Water Company (NWC) and a Jordanian delegation from the Ministry of Water and Irrigation of the Kingdom of Jordan discussed opportunities for cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two sides. NWC informed the Jordanian delegation about the company's strategy, its successes, future investment plans, and the current projects under implementation in water and environmental treatment. This took place during the delegation's visit to the company's headquarters in Riyadh on Thursday, November 23, 2023.


Engineer Nemer bin Mohammed Al-Shebl, the CEO of National Water Company, and a number of the company's executives welcomed the Jordanian delegation led by Dr. Jihad Saleh Al-Mahamid, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, accompanied by a number of executives of the water sector in the Kingdom of Jordan.   


NWC introduced the Jordanian delegation to the NWC system and its projects in water supply and treatment, as well as environmental treatment, using the latest environmentally friendly technologies. In addition, the company's expertise, engineering and research capabilities. Investment opportunities were discussed at the meeting.


The company said: "We have informed the delegation of the Ministry of Water and Irrigation in the Kingdom of Jordan about the mechanisms and sets of procedures that we use to improve the performance of projects, with the aim of increasing the percentage of their completion and contributing to accelerating the pace of work on several projects. All these are done in accordance with the best practices and methods used in professional project management through policies, procedures and performance indicators measured periodically, in accordance with the governance requirements adopted in the company, in line with the objectives of the Saudi Arabian Vision 2030”. NWC pointed out that it is moving forward with the implementation of many vital projects in all regions of the Kingdom. 


NWC informed the delegation about the company's success in completing the project to integrate the sector. This is the first necessary step to engage the private sector in order to increase the efficiency of operations and localize technology and technical expertise through Management, Operation and Maintenance Contracts (MOMC) with local and international alliances, leading to the conclusion of concession contracts within the framework of the objectives of the Kingdom's National Water Strategy and Vision 2030.


Additionally, the company stated that it briefed the Jordanian delegation on its achievements in the unified digital structure to upgrade the services provided to customers, in addition to the achievements in operational work by raising the quantities of distributed water and improving the quality of tertiary treated water to protect the environment.
