Nahdi provides healthcare services to departing pilgrims

Nahdi Medical Company, the leading Saudi pharmaceutical retailer, actively participated in Eyab(return) initiative, which the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) launched to serve pilgrims returning to their countries via Saudi airports after performing hajj.

Continuing the free-of charge healthcare services it offered pilgrims in Mecca during the hajj season, Nahdi accompanied pilgrims during their return journey at Kind Abdul Aziz International Airport. A dedicated medical kiosk was opened in the Duty Free area of King Abdul Aziz International Airport to serve departing pilgrims for their medical needs on the way back to their home countries, through a 15-member team of Saudi pharmacists, assistants, and educators that run Nahdi clinics. In a span of 20 days, the Nahdi team provided service to 2000 pilgrims, averaging 200 people daily. The services included checks for blood pressure and chronic illnesses, medical consultations, weight and height measurements, and the distribution of sample OTC medicines.

Commenting on the initiative, Eng. Yasser Joharji, Nahdi Chief Executive Officer, said, “In our Medical Hope Convoy, we provided medical services to pilgrims while performing hajj. Through our participation in GACA’s Eyab initiative, we extended our services to pilgrims returning to their countries, catering to their medical needs at airports to make sure they return safe and healthy to their families. This is part of our corporate social responsibility program and commitment to develop the healthcare sector in the kingdom based on Vision 2030 and promote the culture of voluntary work.”

In its first edition, Eyab improved and enriched pilgrims’ traveling experience throughout the Kingdom’s airports, offering departing pilgrims various services that reinforced the kingdom’s bright image and created unforgettable memories for pilgrims.
