N. Ireland companies keen to invest in the Saudi Arabia

THE British mission in Jeddah welcomed several British companies from the “Invest Northern Ireland” trade mission who arrived in Jeddah to actively seek ways to invest in Saudi Arabia.

The welcoming event was a networking meeting between representatives from the Northern Ireland companies and Saudi businessmen at the British Consulate General on Sunday.

British Consul General Barrie Peach emphasized: “The goal from this trade mission reception is to introduce a range of companies who are visiting from the Northern Ireland to potential Saudi business partners. They are here tonight from a range of sectors including food and beverage, aviation and construction. They are here to examine the excellent opportunities in Saudi Arabia, as the British companies look to support Saudi Vision 2030, and we believe we can build up excellent relationships between British companies and Saudi companies in addition to the long standing relationships that already exist.”

Jaime Mccloskey from “Invest Northern Ireland” noted: ”Invest Northern Ireland is an economic development agency for the Northern Ireland government, we have brought a group of eight companies to Saudi Arabia this week to meet Saudi businessmen and bring innovative products and services to the local market which will improve productivity and help the Saudi businessmen with their business.”

Mccloskey added: “These networking events is about building relationships, some of these companies has been here before, and the goal is to gain potential clients, distributors and partners in the market to grow the Saudi economy and create jobs.”

One of the Saudi businessmen, who attended the networking meeting, Hasan Nagor said: “I think it’s a really good idea to meet and network and this we do it annually. I benefit a lot from it, and I think many Saudi businessmen are keen to come to these meetings, to network and widen their business in the Northern Ireland region.”
