Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global 2015 Conference & Expo

The premier global payments gathering in the region, Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global takes place in Istanbul, Turkey, 1-3 December 2015.

 

Returning for the ninth consecutive year, the event offers a comprehensive conference agenda exploring the issues and trends shaping the future of payments across the world. Experts from the banking, retail, telecom and technology sectors will provide unique insight into evolving technologies and programmes.

 

Stephen Becker, Senior Vice President for Deutsche Bank, will deliver a session about introducing innovative micro payments in to a fast urbanising society, while Robert Courtneidge, Global Head of Head of Cards and Payments for Locke Lord, will provide examine innovation and regulation within the payments industry.

A series of case studies will reveal opportunities and challenges in specific markets. For example, Usman Qureshi, Senior Technology Consultant at Bank Pasagard, will explore the imprint banks are making across Iran without mobile network operators, and Miguel Valero, Director of Digital Banking at Banorte, will detail how traditional financial institutions serve the needs of the banked, under-banked and un-banked.

Other expert speakers include Kevin Amateshe, Digital Channel Development Manager, National Bank of Kenya; Victor Dostov, Director of the Russian Electronic Money Federation, and John Matonis, Founding Director of Blockchain Foundation.

 

The Merchant Payments Theatre launches this year and is designed to help banks, merchants and MNOs understand and adapt to a rapidly accelerating digital payments marketplace. Through knowledge-sharing and collaboration, delegates will receive a clear understanding of what payment channel suits their business, whether it be contactless, NFC, mobile wallet, combinations or cash management system technologies. Retailers can also learn how to convert browsers into buyers.

 

More than40 leading service providers will showcase the latest payments technologies in a wide-ranging exhibition. They include Deutsche Telekom, Wirecard, Terra, Telepin Software, Amdocs and Estel Technologies.

 

Additionally, the NeoPay Workshop will outline the practical aspects of obtaining an e-money licence in Europeavoiding unnecessary pitfalls and showing delegates how to remain on the right side of the regulator.

 

Payments Dragons’ Den Global will feature for the second year, giving FinTechstart-ups the opportunity pitch their industry-disrupting ideas live to experts and investors. Organised in collaboration with Startupbootcamp, the winner will be awarded a coveted place on their global accelerator programme, dedicated to helping businesses to develop and launch game-changing technology.

Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global 2015 takes place at the Wyndham Grand Instanbul Levent on 1-3 December. A full two day Conference Pass is £1,488 for those who book before 13 October and £1,749 after that date.
