Millions to benefit from Persian service of Haj TV

Minister of Culture and Information Adel Al-Toraifi recently launched the Haj TV and Radio Channel ‘1436’ for speakers of the Persian language to broadcast the Haj rituals and movement of pilgrims at the holy sites in Makkah and Madinah. 


The minister stressed the fact that this channel aims to publicize the eternal message of the pilgrimage and true meaning of Islam. 
“The channel will present cultural programs that will showcase the efforts made by the leadership of the country and people to serve the visitors to the Kingdom, and the pilgrims of the Two Holy Mosques,” said the minister, noting that the broadcast will be made available on four satellites: Arabsat, Nilesat, Yahsat, and Hotbird.
“The broadcast will reach 130 million speakers of Persian around the world. The radio broadcast will involve FM radio in Makkah and the holy sites, and will be available on short wave to the rest of the world,” he explained.
It is hoped that the channel will transmit with the utmost professionalism on the holy Haj rituals, and will publicize the services offered by the government of the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to all Muslims coming to this sacred soil. 


Commenting on the launch, Al-Toraifi said that Kingdom has made great efforts to serve the guests of God: “The government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, have made all possible efforts to overcome any obstacles and hardships so that the pilgrims can perform their Haj rituals with ease, comfort and peace.”
The minister further welcomed at Muzdalifah media guests who came at the invitation of his ministry to cover the Haj rituals for this year. He applauded their efforts and thanked them for their commitment to broadcasting this holy season.
