Marketing to Women Conference 2016 Pays Homage to the Modern Arab Woman

The region’s most anticipated Marketing to Women’s conference is set to take place at the TAJ Hotel in Dubai on February 8, 2016. Now in its 8th edition, this year’s data-driven conference is dedicated to bringing insight into the crucial elements of marketing to the modern Arab woman. With technology taking center stage, the conference gives participants a sneak peek into the region’s dynamic and evolving marketing sector.

As the modern Arab woman’s role in the corporate world evolves alongside traditional familial roles, panel discussions will cover business-led case studies and shed light on industry best-practice standards.

Organized by Mediaquest, the region’s largest privately owned media company, co-CEO Alexandre Hawari said of the event, “We look forward to partnering with Nielsen to bring the latest insights into data usage”. In addition, spokesperson at the Marketing to Women Conference Christina Ioannidis, Chair, M2W, shared her insight into the importance of adapting to the changing female Arab personality. “It is vital for marketers to keep abreast with the developing needs of female consumers in the region,” she said.

Among key speakers will be world renowned female trailblazer Dee Caffari, who will be sharing her unique insights on her recent quest with an all-female crew from Team SCA at the Volvo Ocean Race.

While the ‘Journey of Change’ campaign has challenged gender-perceptions, it has also raised the bar for marketers. The campaign has encouraged social media outreach across the planet and in turn developed a new mode of marketing.

While marketing to women is seen as a niche topic, stereotypical ideals and generalizations about so-called “female traditional roles” are assumptions of the past. Within the fast- evolving GCC region, even traditionally closed regions such as Saudi Arabia are seeing many women turning to digital platforms such as online shopping and social media to meet their consumer needs.

Marketing to Women highlights the importance of recognizing the purchasing power of women in the GCC region. Industry professionals will be gaining a unique insight into crafting strategic communication pieces and maximizing marketing output.

Marketing to Women 2016 conference is sponsored by Digital Media Services, Middle East Media Services, Al Futtaim Motors - Toyota, TAJ Hotel, Phoenix and Rotana Media Services.
