Majid Al Futtaim’s shopping malls in Dubai: Mall of the Emirates, and City Centre Deira, Mirdif, Me’aisem, Al Shindagha and My City Centre Al Barsha are marking the holy month with a month-long schedule of family focused events and charitable activities that embrace the spirit of Ramadan.

Now in its eleventh year of partnership with the UAE’s Red Crescent Society, Majid Al Futtaim’s annual ‘Make a Difference’ Ramadan campaign promotes kindness within the community by allowing people to make a difference through the donation of clothes books, toys to families in need. This year, the ‘Make A Difference’ campaign, has been developed in line with the ‘Year of Giving’, an initiative by UAE’s President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which promotes strategies and programs intended to celebrate the virtues of giving and cement philanthropy in the heart of the nation.

“For over a decade Majid Al Futtaim’s shopping malls have hosted one of the largest collective charitable efforts in the region. This year, and inspired by the UAE leadership’s powerful ‘Year of Giving’ initiative, we hope to collect more contributions than ever before. ‘Make a Difference’ is an excellent opportunity for people to give back in a small way and embrace the spirit of the holy month. We look forward to seeing families enjoying great moments together at each of our mall’s Ramadan activities and joining in the #ShareTogether social media campaign,” said Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Managing Director (UAE, Bahrain & Oman) – Property Management, Shopping Malls for Majid Al Futtaim.

Making a difference this Ramadan couldn’t be more convenient. Visitors can simply bring their donations to any of the malls, place in the ‘Make a Difference’ bag and drop into the donation box. Alternatively, Majid Al Futtaim has collaborated with Fetchr, the delivery service application, to make the donation process seamless in the UAE. Customers need to download the application and place a ‘send’ order using the standard service. They should then enter the pickup location and time, and enter the promo-code ‘Donate’ for free collection and delivery.
