Majid Al Futtaim—the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, announces its Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) events and promotions schedule at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, Mirdif, Me’aisem, Al Shindagha and My City Centre Al Barsha in partnership with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) and Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG).  From July 1 until August 12, 2017 visitors are invited to beat the summer heat and enjoy spectacular family entertainment, win amazing prizes and avail from incredible shopping offers.

During DSS and throughout the summer, each of Majid Al Futtaim’s shopping malls in Dubai will host thrilling entertainment, fun games and not-to-be-missed discounts for every visitor of all ages. For young and young at heart, the fashion fanatics and sport enthusiasts, residents and tourists, there is something new and rewarding to experience during the hot summer months.

Looking for a new summer wardrobe? Shopping couldn’t be more attractive at                  Majid Al Futtaim’s shopping malls in Dubai – Mall of the Emirates, City Centres Deira, Mirdif, Me’asiem, Al Shindagha and My City Centre Al Barsha – as they are all taking part in the citywide Six-Week Sale in partnership with DFRE with discounts ranging from 30% - 75%.

In addition, all six Majid Al Futtaim malls in Dubai will also host Mid-Week sales from Monday to Wednesday throughout DSS. Every week shoppers will avail from incredible discounts from specific categories within the malls from technology, fashion, sports, toys and kidswear, jewellery and homeware. Furthermore, one mall in Dubai per week will host a Deal of the Week, whereby two exclusive offers of a single product and an entertainment experience will be discounted every Friday. The Deal of the Week will be announced 24-hours in advance by DFRE and on the mall’s social media pages.

Feeling lucky? You could win a dream prize this summer at each of Majid Al Futtaim’s malls in Dubai. Mall of the Emirates are spreading the national feeling of happiness via its ‘Share the Joy’ campaign. Throughout DSS, visitors who shop for AED650 have the incredible chance to win mall vouchers worth AED10,000 everyday and share their joy and favourite experiences using #shareatmoe.

One lucky shopper at City Centre Deira will win 100,000 flydubai open rewards everyday throughout DSS. Visitors who spend AED400 in any fashion retailer in the mall will have the opportunity to win two return tickets to a choice of Oman, Jordan, India, Sri Lanka or Lebanon. Additionally, from July 1 – August 12, shoppers who spend AED200 at any store in the mall can win 1kg of Gold, worth approximately AED150,000. Visitors can visualise and share what they could win at a giant gold bar display. While at City Centre Mirdif visitors who spend AED300 will have the opportunity to drive away with the grand prize, a Range Rover 3.0.

At City Centres Me’aisem, Al Shindagha and My City Centre Al Barsha, in collaboration with Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG), mall visitors who shop for AED200 will have the opportunity to win one of six Infiniti Q 50 cars.

Finally, in line with Majid Al Futtaim’s strategy to introduce innovation and engaging activations and gamification concepts, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif will host unique experiences.

Are you a music fan? Get set for Emirati singer Balqees to take to the stage at Mall of the Emirates on August 4. The singer will perform a melody of her music hits and to a crowd of fans in the mall’s Central Galleria. In addition, Arab music icons Fouad Abdulwahed and Dalia Mubarak will be performing at City Centre Mirdif’s Central Galleria on July 21.

Can you find the Emoji? Exclusively at City Centres Deira, Mirdif and Mall of the Emirates from July 12 – August 12 shoppers who spend AED300 will have the opportunity to play the latest augmented reality game. The tailor-made game will test shopper’s ability to find digital Emojis hidden around the mall using the City Centre app and Mall of the Emirates app on their phones. Once players have downloaded the app the hunt begins! For every Emoji found the player will gain points to redeem for instant prizes.
