LogiPoint’s all Rounded and Holistic Solutions Serve Three Continents

LogiPoint’s newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Farooq Shaikh, stressed the importance of providing high quality and advanced integrated logistics solutions enabling Saudi Arabia to become a key hub between 3 continents in the global logistics value chain. While talking to visitors at Supply Chain and Logistics Conference in Riyadh, he stated that these logistics solutions have been designed and put in place to support the customers in minimizing operational cost, increasing revenues and gaining better visibility over their supply chains.

Farooq pointed out that, LogiPoint (a subsidiary of Saudi Industrial Services Co. – SISCO, a Saudi Joint Stock company listed on Tadawul), is committed to expanding its current investment base by developing both green-field and brown-field integrated logistics facilities across Saudi Arabia, attracting international investors into the Kingdom. LogiPoint serves customers in all sectors through both sea and land-based integrated logistics offerings, achieving profoundly competitive service levels in Saudi Arabia, improving the reliability and efficiency of the Kingdom's trade and supply chain and ultimately enabling the country to become a key hub in the global logistics value chain.

He explained that “The first and largest Bonded and Re-Export Zone (BRZ) spread over 1 million m2 in Jeddah is an example of the type of world-class, customer-centric integrated logistics service area that LogiPoint has pioneered in the Kingdom giving the advantage to its clients to reliably save up to 8 days shipping via Jeddah and to re-export without needing to pay customs. Its premium location and the world class facility located in Jeddah Islamic Port has made it a major logistics hub in the region providing services such as lead-logistics, trucking, warehousing, port services, turn-key supply chain integration from the port terminal to the distribution center, specialized handling, labeling and co-packaging.

Building on over 20 years of experience of working with regulatory authorities, customers, and other stakeholders, LogiPoint has started establishing new Logistics Parks and Zones in the Kingdom.

Logistics Parks- Modon 1 is spread over 120,000 m2 located in the heart of the Jeddah Industrial Area and will provide more services to existing and future clients, explaining that through this project they will receive a collection of advanced solutions that are aligned with international standards and heavy traffic flow will be efficiently managed in and out of the Industrial City.” said Farooq Shaikh.

Logistics Parks – Modon 1 is close to the Jeddah Islamic Port, allowing easy access while minimizing transport costs. The project offers ample parking and open storage space for client vehicles and cargo so parking in the industrial area’s congested streets can be avoided.

The Logistics Parks South Jeddah, spread across 662,900 m2 and located in Al-Khumra (the 2nd largest logistics hub in the Kingdom), consists of a state-of-the-art integrated warehousing complex that will offer LogiPoint customers secure storage and one-stop shop solution for all their logistics needs.

The Logistics Parks South Jeddah is just 20 minutes’ drive from the port, and lies close to two major highways. It is also less than two kilometers from the proposed Land-bridge station which will ultimately represent the western terminal for the trans-Saudi railway linking Jeddah and Dammam via Riyadh.

Farooq stated that it was an honour to be leading LogiPoint, which has been the forefront of bringing home international concepts in logistics efficiency over last two decades, and with Kingdom’s drive towards achieving Vision 2030 objectives, it is of paramount importance that private logistics companies play their vital role. The private logistics sector has multiple responsibilities to fulfill ranging from developing capable and skill-based Saudi workforce, improving gender-diversity in a traditionally male-dominated industry, and deepen collaboration with customs and other regulatory bodies to improve transparency. These initiatives, Farooq pledged, will also be priorities of LogiPoint.
