In cooperation with King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAUH) and Jameel Square, LG Electronics Saudi Arabia launched a blood donation campaign in Jeddah to raise awareness among both citizens and residents on the importance of donating blood to save lives and meet the needs of blood banks in the kingdom.

 

LG staff and employees of other companies located in the same building participated in the campaign, with Jameel Square management offering everything required to ensure the success of the initiative. Donors were enthusiastic about participation, knowing that their blood could save lives.

 

The KAUH provided logistical support, sending an integrated medical team with all the necessary medical equipment and instruments. The team was available since 08:00 am to prepare for the campaign, which started at 09:00 and ended midday. LG designated two well-ventilated and fully equipped rooms for the campaign and prepared full lists of volunteers with all the required information about them.

  

As part of its corporate social responsibility, LG works to enlighten the society about medical, social, and humanitarian issues. The blood donation campaign is in line with LG Saudi Arabia's vision and belief in national and humanitarian services.

 

LG Saudi Arabia President Eddie Jun said he was pleased with the success of the campaign, noting that blood donation is a noble humanitarian action that saves the lives of thousands of patients and entrenches the values of social solidarity. "It is honorable to save a life and wonderful to participate in social initiatives in our community: Saudi Arabia and say thank-you to the society that trusts and appreciates us," he said. "We would also like to thank the KAUH team in Jeddah, which used everything in its capacity to render the campaign successful."
