The visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the signing of several agreements with the Kingdom would contribute to mutual prosperity for the two countries and peace in the region, the Cabinet stated on Monday.

The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday, welcomed the joint communique issued by the two countries outlining a commitment to improve political, economic, security, defense, labor, and communication cooperation, SPA reported.
The Cabinet noted the Kingdom’s announcement of a $10 million donation for the establishment of a specialized center for nuclear counterterrorism at the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, and a further 500,000 euros for the modernization of the agency’s laboratories in Seibersdorf. 
The Cabinet further welcomed the final statement issued by the countries participating in the Fourth Nuclear Security Summit in Washington, particularly its emphasis on the commitment to nuclear disarmament, non-proliferation, the peaceful use of nuclear energy, and international cooperation to combat nuclear terrorism.
The Cabinet condemned Bashar Assad’s forces for the “ugly massacre” in the Deir Al-Asafeer area of Damascus and urged the international community to take action that would alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.
On the local front, the Cabinet praised the winners of the 18th Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Awards for memorizing, reciting and interpreting the Holy Qur’an.
