 Jumeira Rotana Dubai in collaboration with the Department of Civil Defence in Dubai conducted a successful fire drill involving all hotel colleagues. The exercise was in line with Jumeira Rotana’s initiative to ensure constant preparedness for any emergency to provide a safe environment for all guests and teams.

 

The scope of this annual exercise covered tests of all required areas and procedures, such as warning systems, procedures and the handling of a full building evacuation itself. During the drill, Teams, Management and Guests who have been previously invited to participate, evacuated the building once the alert was raised.

All colleagues were fully aware of the safety procedures and measures to be taken.

 

Mr. Ulrich Hoffmeister, General Manager of Jumeira Rotana said, “Incidents cannot be predicted and may happen anytime. The key in a successful handling of such cases lies in the proper preparedness, constant vigilance and proper trainings. To increase awareness and for the sake of general prevention of incidents, we are conducting a series of trainings and internal exercises with all colleagues.”

The evacuation drill was successful and fully met the purpose of increasing awareness and preparedness amongst the teams.
