King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah handled more passenger in 2015 than any other year since its establishment. Administration at the airport recorded 29,785,874 passengers last year, an increase of 6.6% from 2014. 

In a report, airport administration indicated the increase is mainly due to rising domestic travel. In 2015, passengers traveling within Saudi Arabia increased by 23%.
