HotelsCombined, the Australian based hotel meta-search company, announces the launch of its first award of excellence in the UAE, the Recognition of Excellence, will identify and honor hotels that have achieved outstanding customer satisfaction.

The HotelsCombined Recognition of Excellence is a group of outstanding accommodation chosen based on a strict set of criteria. By using its meta-search technology and a proprietary algorithm, HotelsCombined gather, analyze and rank millions of customer reviews to form a comprehensive understanding of over 800,000 hotels worldwide.

“As we believe in making amazing tools to make people’s lives easier, we also believe that different types of accommodations should be recognized and appreciated. We are thrilled to be working on this within the UAE first as a big number of accommodations here deserve this award,” said Amer AlHalabi, regional manager of HotelsCombined MENA.

“What is different about The Recognition of Excellence is the way information is gathered and analyzed which all depends on the guest’s experience with that particular accommodation,” he added.

In order to be considered for the recognition, properties must at the time of judging have an 8.0 or over rating with a minimum of 100 customer reviews on the HotelsCombined site. The hotel should have significant community initiatives in place plus a recipient of at least three awards throughout the year.

Winners of the excellence award will receive a certificate and have the opportunity to display a badge of the award on their website’s homepage, a symbol of success for future guests to see.
