Health Ministry starts second phase of transformation

Saudi Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel announced initiating the second phase of the health transformation, which focuses on "quality."

This phase holds significant importance, focusing on the tangible transition of health clusters into the Health Holding Co.

Al-Jalajel emphasized that the completion of the first phase of the health transformation yielded promising outcomes and significant achievements, state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

These achievements include a 50% reduction in traffic accident fatalities, recognition from the World Health Organization (WHO) for the Kingdom's food policies aimed at enhancing community health and protection, and an increase in the average life expectancy to 77.6 years, with ongoing efforts to reach 80 years by 2030.

The Ministry of Health reported that the first phase of the healthcare sector transformation involved establishing 20 health clusters across various regions of the Kingdom. The positive results of this healthcare model led to several improvements in health indicators.

According to data available on Argaam, the Ministry of Health recently announced the completion of the first phase, marked by the launch of health clusters in all regions of the Kingdom.
